Market forecast for KLCI and Top gainers & Losers

Market forecast for KLCI:
The FBMKLCI opened at the level of 1671 on Tuesday and closed in the red at level of 1670. The trading session on Tuesday saw a low of 1666;
The market traded within a range of 8.15 points between an intra-day high of 1674.58 and a low of 1666.43 during the session. Market closed higher than the previous day and in the coming trading session it is expected to breach the resistance level of 1675. Dipping crude oil prices could be one of the reason that the market might trade sideways. If it breaches the resistance level it might go upto the level of 1685. On the other side if it tests the support level of 1662 it could cross the level and go further down to the level of 1651.

The FBM KLCI index lost 0.29 points or 0.02% on Tuesday. The Finance Index increased 0.11% to 14270.47 points, the Properties Index dropped 0.02% to 1164.29 points and the Plantation Index rose 0.34% to 7592.65 points. The market fluctuated between a high of 1674 and low of 1666 throughout the trading session on Tuesday. The KLCI was little changed and closed marginally lower at 1670.55 points despite overnight gains in US market. Market sentiment remained muted due to lack of positive fresh leads.

Malaysia: Shares open slightly lower on Monday


MALAYSIA share pricess opened lower on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 0.630 points to 1628.520. Volume was 35.02 million sections worth RM10.9 million.

US dollar rises


A US dollar gage held over a six-week high achieved Friday after the greatest increment in shopper spending in a year provoked some in the business sector to conjecture that merchants would help the chances of a Federal Reserve financing cost build this year.

Lower fuel costs, fine discount move SIA's Q4 benefit to S$225m


LESS costly Jet fuel and a S$117 million discount of an opposition related fine offered lift to Singapore Airlines' wings as it posted a net benefit of S$224.7 million for the final quarter finished March 31, 2016, up from just S$39.6 million a year back.

Nonetheless, yields kept on misery in the midst of intense rivalry as SIA, provincial wing SilkAir and SIA Cargo reported lower figures.  MALAYSIAN shares ended higher on Monday with the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index adding 5.44 points to close at 1,697.93.
Some 2.44 billion lots, valued at RM2.45 billion were traded. Gainers numbered 317 while losers numbered 594.

UAE says oil price forcing producers to freeze output

 United Arab Emirates energy minister said on Monday that current oil prices will force many producers to freeze output and that a correction in prices would take time.
"I believe that the current oil prices are forcing everyone to freeze so I think it is happening as we speak. It doesn't make any sense for anyone to increase production at the current prices," Suhail bin Mohammed al-Mazrouei told reporters.

Shares end higher

MALAYSIAN shares finished higher on Friday with the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index adding 5.28 point to close at 1,663.44. Somewhere in the range of 1.69 billion parcels, esteemed at RM1.95 billion were exchanged. Gainers numbered 335 while failures numbered 492.

Stocks rise, Sharp plunges on takeover questions
